This position is a Regulatory Reporting Accountant within the Financial Accounting Americas. -- The primary mission for this position is to be involved in the production of timely and accurate reports to the firm’s regulators.
Duties: - Preparing and analyzing workpapers, reports and/or calculations relating to the following: Net Capital Rule 15c3-1; Customer Protection Rule 15c3-3; FOCUS Reports - Performing user acceptance testing on the new reporting system associated with the Regulatory Systems Migration project - Being responsible for Adhoc investigation and analysis of regulatory data as may be necessary -Gaining an understanding of the primary regulations underlying the various regulatory reports -Understanding the basic reporting requirements -Understanding and appreciating the sensitivities associated with the regulatory reporting environment, including escalation of issues -Being involved in current automation efforts associated with the regulatory reports Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance. MBA / CPA (preferred) -2-5 years of regulatory reporting or accounting related experience (preferred) -Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word -Ability to work autonomously but with specific guidance and direction
